Job Purpose: Postdoctoral Scholar to conduct research and communicate research findings (in peer-reviewed publications and at professional meetings) in the food engineering.

Job Description: The Food Engineering Lab is hiring a postdoctoral scholar to work in the area of food gastric digestion and transport processes. The successful candidate will work on projects relating to design and validation of in vitro digestion systems, data analysis and interpretation, and physical and chemical analysis of food digestion products. Involvement in these projects may require mentoring of graduate and undergraduate students. The candidate is expected to write manuscripts and present research in appropriate venues. The position is for one year; renewal may be possible after the first year based on performance and funding availability. The start date may be as early as February 1, 2016.

Job Requirements: PhD in Biological or Chemical Engineering preferred; PhD in Food Science or other related discipline with other engineering/computational experience acceptable. Strong oral and written communication skills necessary. Experience with Matlab or similar program for data analysis and analytical chemistry experience preferred.
