Gabrielle Franke

Undergraduate in Managerial Economics

Gabrielle is a recipient of the H.J. Heinz Endowed Scholarship and the Walter R. and Carolyn J. Schoenfeld Scholarship. The Managerial Economics major from Galt chose UC Davis because of its prestige in agriculture studies. Gabrielle was also impressed by the internship and career opportunities that are available with surrounding farming businesses and government agencies in nearby Sacramento. She has a strong interest in either working in agricultural business, policy or law. She hopes to find a career that combines her love for immigration policies, education and leadership to improve the farming sector and help people to better understand where their food comes from. Receiving scholarships has allowed Gabrielle to focus on her studies and given her more motivation to work hard academically. She is grateful to her donors for investing in her education and promises to “use my education … to improve the agriculture industry in the future.”
