Jadey Monique Gonzalez
Jadey received the Irwin Gibbs – Food Industry Foundation Scholarship for her academic excellence and interest in food marketing and management. A San Jose native and UC Merced transfer, Jadey chose to attend UC Davis because of her love of food science. She is especially interested in food quality assurance and technology and in understanding ways food is developed to ensure consumers get the maximum nutrition they can from what they eat. But she’s not just a food scientist; Jadey’s also a gifted musician and song writer. To her, food is about the experience, and hopes to someday develop a career that blends her loves of food and entertainment.
