Pietro Catini
Hi, my name is Pietro Catini and I am a sophomore, Animal Science major. I am from Fountain Valley, CA in Orange County. I came to Davis from a beach city to pursue my goal of becoming a small animal veterinarian. I joined Aggie Ambassadors my freshman year because I wanted to be more involved in my college. So far, Aggie Ambassadors has become my gateway to opportunities like jobs and internships around campus and has helped me develop leadership and communication skills that have become invaluable in my college career. I am currently serving as the Career Fairs Coordinator for Aggie Ambassadors and am very excited to work and have fun with my fellow ambassadors. Since I’ve been here, I realized that there is so much more out there than just cats and dogs. Professor Famula showed me how much more animal science has to offer in his introductory animal science course (ANS 1). Quirky and knowledgeable, he quickly climbed to the top of my list of favorite professors. Since my first lab, the Horse Barn quickly became my place of interest for anything from studying to working. In my off time, I enjoy hanging out with my brothers at Alpha Gamma Rho, doing anything from barbequing to playing intramural sports, of which I’d recommend anybody to take advantage. UC Davis is such a dynamic and enjoyable experience. I look forward to sharing this with all of you.
