Hey there! Hope all is well!

My name is Amanjot Kaur and I am a second year student at UC Davis majoring in Biotechnology with a minor in International Agriculture Development. I was born and raised in a small town called Simbli in Punjab, India. For the past 6 years, I have been living in California, United States. Even though I miss my mother country, I love everything about America and all the leadership opportunities it has given me. Since my first contest in Future Farmers of America (FFA) in high school, I knew I wanted to pursue a career in the field of agriculture. It was through agricultural leadership programs that I came across my passion, which was advocating for agriculture. I also knew that UC Davis, #1 agricultural university, would be a perfect place for me to carry my passion, which is why I was beyond ecstatic when I received my admittance letter. I joined Aggie Ambassadors with the perspective of bridging the gap between agriculture and the community whether that community is the university campus, the city of Davis or even the entire state of California! All the remarkable opportunities offered to me through this organization have carved me into a fearless leader and has blessed me with beautiful friendships and unforgettable memories. This year I am thrilled to be serving the UC Davis Aggie Ambassadors officer team as the Prospective Students Tour Coordinator.

Can't wait to meet ya'll
