Year: Senior
Major: Animal Science major, African & African American studies minor
Officer position: President

My name is Maria Montoya and I am currently a senior majoring in Animal Science with an emphasis in Livestock and Dairy, and minoring in African American and African Studies. I am from a small town in the bay area called Morgan Hill, but have moved all over the country my entire life. I chose to come to UC Davis because of how welcoming and inviting the community and campus environment is. One of the best organizations I have been involved in at UC Davis is Aggie Ambassadors. Being a member and an officer for the past three years and now being the current president of the organization, Aggie Ambassadors has truly changed my life. Through the College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences, I have been able to develop my leadership skills.
