Mission Statement

The mission of the College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences is to promote agricultural, environmental, and social sustainability through research, teaching, and public engagement to meet the challenges of global change in the 21st century.

Vision Statement

The College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences empowers its diverse faculty and staff to innovate, discover, and push the frontier of knowledge to address critical research and education needs, inspire students and alumni, and improve the lives of people in California, the nation, and the world.

Strategic Plan

Our academic and strategic plan outlines how we plan to accomplish our mission. Through the plan, we've identified four core priority themes for growth and integration within the college. The four priority themes are as follows:

  • Sustainable Agriculture and Food Systems
  • Equitable, Healthy Communities
  • Ecosystem Viability and Functionality
  • Meeting the Challenges of Climate Change
